Panah Gah: A highly appreciable attempt from the government.
It is a very unique scheme which only focuses on helping the citizens. There are innumerable homeless people on the streets and as the weather gets harsh, they face a lot of difficulties. The winter gets very brutal in Pakistan and the temporary tents would be a fabulous haven for the homeless to sleep in during the extremely chilly nights. However, there are a lot of drug abusers among the homeless people and there should be a government based rehabilitation program for the same group of people but this scheme will create a sense of solidarity between the government and the citizens. Such attempts exhibit the government's sincerity and loyalty towards the welfare of the citizens. Previously, this section of the society was sternly bypassed which produced a sense of disengagement with state and eventually leading to engagement in bigger crimes.
Many progressive nations around the world have set up temporary shelters for the homeless including United States of America, United Kingdom and even India. Pakistan has almost 200 million homeless population and around 3 million are supplemented every year, this initiative will be very effective to actually help the citizens in a meaningful way. It will not be a big device for showing off but the impact will be highly applicable.
If you want to criticize the government just for the sake of criticizing it then you may find flaws in this scheme as well but in reality, this scheme is one of the best implementations by the government. There is nothing wrong in healthy criticism but there is a thin line between a hater and a critic. A factual and logical criticism may help the government perform better but if you only aim to deject and ridicule then there is no point. Here's a shout out to Sharmila Farooqi and Shahbaz Taseer for appreciating the government despite being in the opposition. This proves that education plays a huge role in your presence on the internet.
