A little reminder

My super self,
It's a reminder that everything will be alright. You have been through many trying times but see, they passed. This time is very strange, the world is struggling. The lockdown and quarantine have introduced the world to the dimension you experienced a long time ago, it's not something new and it's not something that will stay either. That's the thing about time, the good and bad, it passes and makes you stronger. I am not saying 'hang in there'  for the sake of saying, I mean it.
Life has not been easy, but what's a ride without bumps (especially when you live in Lahore). Just remember that some things were a dream a few years ago but you achieved it, lived it. That's a miracle and if that can happen, anything can. You tested your abilities and to some extent, prove many people wrong. The journey has not ended, it's ongoing but you have accomplished things that you should be proud of. When life was not happy-go-lucky, you avoided the luck and made yourself happy, you know why? Because luck is uncontrollable but happiness isn't. It's a choice that all of us make. In life, that's the most important choice that you made. You chose to be happy in the darkest time when everything seemed uncertain, life wasn't paving a clear way, that's when gratitude helped you grow, be content, and thus be happy after all.
You have experienced it first hand that our planning is funny in the eyes of God. When man plans, God laughs. You have seen your life crumble in front of your eyes but still, you're here, fighting it out, being the hero of your movie, living a life worth being happy for. God did not let you give up so how do you think He will now? You cannot give up. You will never give up. When you begin to you feel weak in the knees, when everything around starts blurring, just remember those gloomy nights when there was nobody but God who listened and helped. He never leaves you alone and never will. Keep that faith alive because that's what has kept you from dying.
Don't feel low because of the circumstances. They change all the time. Difficulty and ease. Success and failure, both are temporary. Every rise has to experience a fall but never forget, God will never be unfair with anyone so there will be a rise, you will get a chance, you will get there, slowly but surely. Keep your head high and smile. He's taking care of everything.
'Hang in there'

  1. As there´s also a saying in the German language, "Man plant, Gott lacht!" - the saying the English version of which is present in your write-up - the fact is that we indeed need to learn to live in the moment & leave the rest to Allah. This quarantine life is taking toll on some people - and I pray that it ends soon - but we can use this time to reflect on our lives I suppose. Gratitude brings happiness and happiness brings a positive energy.

Well done my friend on another good write-up, my friend.

  2. Love this! "When God plans, man laughs." I think that is so true. We can plan all we want, but it is God who allows it. Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.
