Last week, one of my very beloved pet pigeons died. His name was Jok Role. A very interesting story is associated with this name. I was scammed by an online employer, I found him on a freelancing website and he posts to be from the United States of America. He made me write over 10k words and the payment was due after a week. On the day of payment, he stopped replying and on that very day, Jok Role was born hence we named him after the fraudulent employer. Well, it was an accident because we would set our pigeons free and later in the evening get them back into the cage. Now he was roaming around on the floor and somebody left the roof door open. I was away, eating my lunch when a cat came into the room and took him away. When I came into the room, he wasn't there. Everyone looked around and tried to find him but later we only found his feathers on the roof of our neighbours. It was heartbreaking. I really loved him and for the first time, I felt the pain of losing a pet. However, I absolutely believe that it is really important to have a pet at home because they keep you occupied and you don't really get any time to be stressed out about your own issues and daily routine. Having a pet really invokes the humanity within, you tend to keep an eye on everything that they eat or do. When you observe the pet animals, you learnt a lot of things. For example, I have white pigeons at home. When the female laid an egg, her partner started gathering material for the nest from the cage. We kept some dried leaves in the cage and he broke them down to make a nest for her. They would share times of the day to sit on the egg and they shared every responsibility throughout that period. After the eggs hatch, both of them took care of the tiny tots together. Both of them would feed the babies with their beaks until they were able to eat themselves. Unfortunately, one of the babies died very early and the other one was eaten by a cat. It was the first time that we started petting birds and trust me, they are incredible. Even in the birds, some are naughty and some are very serious. Watching them have their own fun and fights is very enjoyable at times. I would recommend keeping birds at home.

TOM!

One of our neighbours once had a black Persian cat as a pet but for unknown reasons, they couldn't keep him at home. His name was Tom. Whenever they had to go somewhere, they would drop Tom at our place. Tom was a very grumpy cat and his carelessness for the world was so funny.  would lay there and keep looking around but refrained from moving. He would cuddle around my mum's feet but when you have to move him from one place to another, he would leave himself loose like a dead body. We would literally drag him out of the room. He was so lazy that even the thought of him running away was unbelievable. Once a group of boys kidnapped him and later, he was found with the help of a little investigation by our neighbours. His voice was extremely funny and he became everyone's favourite in a very small period of time. The whole Mohalla loved him but unfortunately, he was kidnapped again and we never found him ever since. Our family still miss him.

In my village, we have a lot of pet dogs. It all started with Suzy who was a pure breed of a pointer. She was majestic, her skin used to shine in the sun. We all loved her dearly. She gave birth to a male and we named him Titu who replaced Suzy in our lives after she died. He was enormous. He increased in size very quickly and we still loved him like a puppy. Somebody kidnapped him as well and we had to bring a new female pointer, her name was Gogo. She was very sick when she came so after a lot of treatment and care, she started being friendly and happy in the environment. One thing that is very common in all the above-stated dogs is that they all are very loyal. Dogs are my favourite because they sincerely care for you. Whenever we used to go, they would come running towards the car and every time we left, they would keep running behind the car for a very long distance. They protect your premises religiously. Any unknown face would be treated with a lot of resistance by the dogs. They are known as the bodyguards from nature. They would keep moving by your side wherever you go. The honesty and resilience that the dogs show towards their owners sometimes make you believe that they are indeed a man's best friend. Now gogo has five children and we have made a shelter for them. Recently, I went to the village and it was very cold so we turned on the heater and something funny happened, gogo's puppy sat beside the heater and kept looking at it. Later, he slept nearby but we had to put him in his own shelter with his family.

Pets are amazing and they love you unconditionally. When your pet cuddles or looks at you with zest, it is the most wondrous feeling. They genuinely heed for you. If you have a pet, you would definitely get what I am saying but if you don't then I will highly recommend keeping a pet.
